Picasso was definitely on to something! I believe every student has the potential to be creative and with the right support, tools, and inspiration they can find great joy and confidence through ART!
I have been teaching art and craft classes to children for over 16 years and every year I am so blessed by the students I get to teach. I love to guide their creative process and help them build confidence and succeed in the Arts!
I received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design at Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation, I worked as a professional designer at an architectural design firm in Dallas. Although my passion remains with Art, Design and Crafts, my ultimate calling is to teach and inspire others in their artistic journey. I received my K-12 Art teaching certification with the State of Texas and I have had the privilege to teach in the Rockwall Public School system, Arts A Blast art studio, as well as to the Rockwall homeschool community through a local co-op.
My husband and I have enjoyed being a part in the Rockwall community since 2002. We have two boys that I have the honor of homeschooling and our family enjoys spending time with our local church community.
After much dreaming, I am thrilled to offer art courses at my new in-home studio. I love the opportunity to come alongside families and help support their student’s artistic talents! Mud Creek is excited to now offer Spanish, Writing and Literature, Science, Math Enrichment, and Biblical Studies along side Art to homeschooling families.
