Honors Apologia ADVANCED Biology: Human Anatomy (9th grade and up) Deposit

$95.00

Thursdays 1:30-2:50

In this course, students will explore the anatomy and physiology of the human body, understood from a creation-based foundation. As students make their way through the modules, they will begin to understand how every part of the body has a purpose, each part being necessary for the other parts to function. This study will introduce the organizational levels of the human body from a single cell to the 11 major organ systems (including the reproduction system). The seamless integration of one system with the others and the intricacy at the molecular level represents a feat of engineering and design that could only come from God. We are truly fearfully and wonderfully made!

This class will require about 4-6 hours outside of class each week.

Journal: We will utilize the accompanied journal for note taking.  The notebook will also deepen their understanding of the textbook as they explore what God’s word has to say about the workings of His creation.

Tests: Using a combination of assessments from open and closed book tests, class projects and dissections class mastery will be evaluated and recorded.

Class format: Reading and Journal work will be required outside of class along with coordinating anatomy coloring pages about 4-6 hours a week.  Class time will be used for highlighting and discussion of key concepts, group experiments and dissections.
